Windy Acres Equestrian

We are a family-owned hobby farm just outside of beautiful Hastings, Ontario. The farm is run by Kelly Sherwin-Hembruff, and daughter Marissa.

Kelly spent her teen years working with and showing Percheron horses with her uncle throughout Canada and the United States. She has a strong sense of horsemanship and showmanship alike. Kelly rode western on her horse, Lucky, when she was younger and has dabbled in dressage and jumping but prefers riding for pleasure and enjoying the company of the horses.

Marissa has been riding and showing horses since she was 10, first riding as a hunter then transitioning into dressage and eventing. She has shown in many of the combined test series in the area and has done well with all of her equine-showing partners, often bringing home ribbons. Marissa has decided to break from showing while in University, and wants to concentrate on training her younger horses and students.
